Holiday Burnout

always a dramatic scene

half-assed beauty queen

recognize yourself in rumors

playing catch-up like the late bloomers

sip a little something

smoke a little nicotine

blushing under low lights

ego-tripping, dive bar nights

we are all in this together

casual laughter means friends forever

don’t you dare cross me

you’ll never be the boss of me

wicked, always calculating

i’ll remember the mistakes you’re making

maybe i’d rather sit alone

hit “IGNORE” on my cell phone

tell me, does that mean a thing?

a cry for help, or a pathetic scream?

we are all in this together

casual laughter means friends forever
